Wifemistress - Mogliamante 1977

Beginning of 900, in a village in the Venetian province. Antonia De Angelis (Laura Antonelli), rich landowner, is bedridden for an imaginary paralysis, while her husband Luigi (Marcello Mastroianni) never misses a chance to get away from home with the justification of work. Suspected of a murder he did not commit, the man finds refuge in the home of a friend (Gastone Moschin), while Antonia decides to take into her own hands the family business. She discovers thus, retracing the fixed steps of her husband's travels, his double life: the passion for political writings, women, his places of pleasure, study, loneliness.
